I love this quote! It makes me laugh – good thing too, because otherwise I might cry. At this moment in time, there will be plenty of people out there who will dismiss this idea, and particularly if you are feeling the pinch financially, it’s harder to be open to it.
But all that means is that this is the time to think richly in your life, more than ever! Now I know it’s not easy. Goodness knows, I know that. Why? Because I’m there too. One of my main challenges in life right now, even as I write this, is to direct my thoughts down a rich pathway, as opposed to a poor one, in all areas of my life. Just because I write about all this stuff does not mean I am perfect!
A couple of hours ago, I was tense in my shoulders. I’d been at the computer all morning, I was beginning to feel overwhelmed. When I’m overwhelmed, it’s easy for me to get very negative about everything. Now, if you’re a fan of Abraham-Hicks work about the Law of Attraction, specifically Ask and It Is Given, you will know that if you feel overwhelmed, your job is to do something that will enable you to ‘have a better-feeling thought’, as they put it.
One of the ways I do this is by making a list in my head of sentences beginning with ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if…’. For example, ‘wouldn’t it be nice if I had someone to take care of the basic administration of my life’. The more you come up with ideas beginning with this, the more you begin to feel better, and the more you loosen any tight energy associated with lack, negativity or poor thinking.
Then I nipped down the road on my bike to give a friend some advice about their garden, and by the time I was back, I was feeling much better. Inspired, in fact, to sit down at the computer again and join the Yahoo group for a course I’m on. That’s when I found this quote, and that led me to posting this.
The final point to mention on this, is that five minutes ago, I received a call from someone wanting coaching. When I started this blog, I had no idea this was going to happen. But happen it has, and that’s because when I start showing up with a tablespoon or a jug to receive money, it’s there.
So I encourage all you reading this to do what it takes to leave aside your teaspoons, uplift yourself and your mood, and bring your serving spoons, jugs, buckets, basins or any other container to stand under Niagara Falls! I’ll see you there!
